BIOGRAPHY

Cameron Smith, a native of Pleasantville NY, has performed the role of Count Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia with Taconic Opera (NY), Nanki-Poo in The Mikado with Ridge Light Opera (NJ), Don Ottavio with Modus Opera (NY), Ermanno in Rossini's L'Equivoco Stravagante with Bronx Opera, Stravinsky's Renard at Tanglewood, and Alfredo in La Traviata at Seagle Music Colony.
For Lake George Opera, he covered Nanki-Poo and performed El Remendado in Carmen. At Caramoor, he was the Czar in Donizetti's Elisabeth and has covered Ernesto in Don Pasquale, Elvino in La Sonnambula, and Rodrigo in Rossini's Otello.
He is featured on The Marc Blitzstein Centennial Concert CD on Footlight Records, singing an aria from Sacco and Vanzetti.
Concert engagements include Puccini's Messa di Gloria with Westchester Concert Singers, Handel's Messiah and Nemorino in Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore with the Downtown Symphony, Respighi's Laud to the Nativity and Bach's Magnificat with Putnam Chorale, Bach's Cantata no. 172 and Handel's Saul with the Great Neck Choral Society, and Handel's Alexander's Feast with Sound Shore Chorale.
He holds an MM from Manhattan School of Music and a BFA from SUNY Purchase.
